WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item upgrading that is used to upgrade items will be consumed for the duration of time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in every major city, and is accessible anytime to upgrade your gear. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item, but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. For example upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them from item upgrades upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor with a button, which displays an image of the item at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current item level upgrade (navigate to this site) level. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Many locations have upgraders for their items, including the main Island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of getting a new recipe. The upgrade discount increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only available via a variety of ways. This is both a positive and an issue.

In Season 3, the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and several new features added. After a player has earned an upgrade to a particular item upgrader mod level for a particular armor slot, upgrading other items to that level will cost less, even if they are part of another set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievement.

Crests

When upgrading gear in WoW players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests can only be used to purchase gear of a specific rank, and that every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, depending on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with any difficulty for higher-tier items or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for gear that is used in the endgame. Crests can be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't too difficult, but the system introduces some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible on all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another significant change is that crests have one purpose therefore it's essential to use them wisely. For instance it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests with the Best item upgrade equipment available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning on making. This is particularly relevant for rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, that will be able to take advantage of the account-wide discount when all slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
