World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase an additional 3% of the previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to give a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. They can be acquired through crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them; the item must be at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of that equipment that require the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop, or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

The player can get the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-level version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear even if they are unsure what can be improved upon the reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it's possible that the item will be obsolete or even break when the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Certain upgrades also provide an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes in the area around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.

You'll often see in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, which is why it is Best item upgrader to place Glyphs in key locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs near their primary damage points, but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item level upgrade. Once enough points are earned you'll be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When a player improves an item the original item is replaced by the new item. The same armor will receive a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This could be a drawback, as it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll the upgrade of their item. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item upgrades that is based on a level 1 base and totally different bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, however it's not something that should be done regularly, as it could waste a lot of resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. This item can be upgraded several times, increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is very valuable in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of the non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set, while upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear that can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will result in the item returning to its original condition and the player having to pay for more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained, such as crit chance damage to attack, other effects (such as increased heal over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it receives a crit chance boost, the increase will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item could have five upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will come with the lowest cost for each upgrade.

Premium items may require different upgrades than regular gear. For example they might require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require a different amount of the ingredients needed to upgrade.
