11 "Faux Pas" You re Actually Able To Create With Your Item Upgrades
Path of Exile item upgrader Upgrades
Upgrades to items are a frequent and important way to improve the performance of numerous items in Path of Exile. They can be a fantastic source of damage and more AD or even more affixes.
Rare-grade equipment is often superior to modernized Common or Magic gear because of their high requirements.
Armor
Armor upgrades can be applied to both armor and weapon items. They increase the effectiveness of the item they are connected to. Armor upgrades are available in the world of the game and purchased from Blacksmiths on bonfires. They can also be salvaged using an expert or higher salvage kits to retrieve upgrade components from items.
The amount of damage a piece of armor or weapon can absorb depends on the extent of its upgrades. Upgrading a piece of armor to its highest upgrade level will increase its ability to absorb damage. But, it's important to keep in mind that this will increase its weight, which will cause it to weigh more than it was before.
There are a few different kinds of armor upgrades available in the game and they all have different effects. For instance, certain upgrades give the armor a certain amount of health points while others will make it lighter and stronger. The name of the armor upgrade will indicate the kind of upgrade an item level upgrade can be given, as illustrated below.
Some of the upgrades also require magic or a combination of technology and magic, which are shown by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table below. Certain upgrades require charges to use. These are identified as "Charges" entries in the table. The charges for these upgrades are updated daily or never expire, dependent on the upgrade.
The cheapest way to upgrade armor is by using Iron Ore, which can be obtained by exploring the environment and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more expensive however it is obtainable from smelters located in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, such as the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can give a significant increases in stats and are definitely worth the investment.
The player should be aware that upgrading a piece to its maximum upgrade level will increase its defense value. However, it will also reduce its agility and its speed. For this reason, it is not recommended to upgrade most armor pieces that are higher than +9 because the increase in defense is generally not worth the additional weight and power costs of the improvements required.
Weapons
Weapon upgrades let players increase the effectiveness of specific aspects of a weapon. Upgrades can improve the accuracy of a rifle, or the damage that shotgun shells do. Some weapons have special enhancements to enhance their intrinsic qualities. They include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and reduces the risk of overheating of the weapon) and Kinetic Coils (increases the speed of projectiles to cause more damage).
Most weapon upgrades require one of three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons, and a whetblade for applying. These can be obtained by completing Side Quests or killing a certain amount of bosses and monsters.
Upgrading a Weapon, Equipment Set piece or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade cost of a certain number of Bars. The more bars required to complete an upgrade the more expensive the upgrade. If you have multiple upgrade materials The cost of upgrading will be lower.
In Chapter 2: Season 5, the method of upgrading your weapon and equipment sets changed a little. Previously you could go to an Upgrade Bench and pay a certain amount of Bars to upgrade your weapon or equipment to a higher rarity. You could do this until you reached a maximum upgrade level for the equipment or weapon, following which the upgrades would be reset.
It's possible, but it relies heavily on RNG. It is better to purchase gear that has low upgrade levels but with high base scores and stat distributions. These gears have a better likelihood of granting you highest tier benefits and blessings.
Most players will want to make the most of upgrades to weapons they use most frequently to help them level up faster. Additionally players, they should also consider upgrading the weapons they use with their teammates to make them more powerful and effective. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R, which will increase its utility when accompanied by biotech specialists such as Grunt and Tali.
Jewels
Jewels are placed in the armor's sockets and weapons, increasing the stats of a weapon and providing additional effects. They can be created using the process of jewelry crafting, where you combine a gem and a number of specific chemicals at a table. The higher the tier of the gemstone, the better its secondary effect. These reagents are available from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses in the world, or through collecting Legendary Gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler in exchange for Scattered Prisms and gold.
The Jeweler can improve the quality of a gem in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. Depending on the tier of the gem it will give different stat boost when slotted into weapons, equipment and jewelry.
All tiers of jewels can be made at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary jewels that require you to be at a sufficient level to qualify for them. Jewels can be substituted with another one without damaging the original. However it is only possible to replace the jewels in an item upgrader kit of equipment only once.
It is typical to use more jewelry for aesthetic reasons. The jewels can also enhance performance and create an outer layer that is more durable than steel, so that the repeated friction from pivots do not cause damage to them.
A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs to enhance the look of your weapons and shields. These glyphs provide a small boost and can be swapped, but they are not guaranteed to appear as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded like jewelry, at the Jeweler for gold, and also a scattered Crystal. Glyphs are also removed, which returns them to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as traits and aegis aren't swappable and are only recoverable by using an Upgrade Extractor, or by salvaging them using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.
Trinkets
Trinkets can provide your hero with a variety of small, but valuable advantages. They can be obtained in the beginning areas as loot or personal story rewards from vendors, and through doing road interactions. They can also be found on the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.
The first trinket players will unlock is the cloak. It gives a small, but useful bonus in movement speed and evasion. The player can then collect rings, amulets and necklaces in a similar manner similar to how they obtained weapons and armor. Every piece of equipment has an upgrade slot that can be either universal or jewel. Universal upgrades are smaller and can be used on any equipment. Jewels cannot be upgraded or replaced and are only compatible with certain trinkets.
These trinkets can also grant buffs and skills that remain active when the hero is not in combat. This allows a hero to be more efficient when they are not active. It also helps compensate for the absence of strong slots in the team or talent tree that are normally filled by a hero's top stats.
As a rule trinket upgrades should be prioritized over BiS (Best in Slot) items you won't replace anytime soon. Then, you should consider any items with desirable stats that are less significant than the iLevel of the item that is to be upgraded. This is particularly true if an item level upgrade has multiple stats that you wish to upgrade, as it's usually more beneficial to upgrade one important stat rather than two sub-optimal ones.
In the beginning of the game players who are in the jungle will typically want to upgrade their yellow trinket into a red one in the middle and top players will usually opt for a green or pink ward (depending on the matchup). These choices can affect the hero's ability to manage the map.
In addition to the items mentioned above, players will also find other trinkets that form of trophies and rewards throughout the game. These can be obtained by completing certain milestones in the story. For instance, finishing the main quest for a chapter or defeating the boss. You can check them out by clicking on the achievement in the reward section of the hero's menu.
